About Us
Melita Marine Group was established in 1989, starting out with offering standard yachting services. Due to the initial success, an expansion plan was carefully laid out with the ultimate goal of providing a fully comprehensive range of yachting services in Malta. The services we now offer include Yard Facilities for yachts up to 100m, Agency, Yacht charter, customs clearance, duty-free supplies and bunkering. After gaining invaluable experience and a deep understanding of the Maltese yachting market, we quickly recognised potential and set the path to becoming a significant player in the Mediterranean and World Yachting industry.
Consequently, Melita Power Diesel was set up in 1998, resulting from the acquisition of Marine Industrial Repairs. Melita Power Diesel can now offer engine repair services, overhauling and reconditioning. Following this successful take-over Melita Marine Group established a subsidiary, Melita Yacht Painters Ltd. Representing by AWLGRIP, it was set up in 1999, with a full-time professional team of eight painters. The Group’s strategy is now focused on further expansion in the collective services we provide and expanding the Group’s international reach.
Melita Marine Group represents major brands such as MTU Engines / Detroit Engines under Rolls Royce Power Systems, SCANIA Engines, ALFA LAVAL Systems AWLGRIP, Quantum stabilizer service, Prop Speed and more.
Today the Melita Marine Group is operating in Malta, Spain and Greece each location set up specifically to provide a bespoke and high-quality service designed to meet the ever-growing demand for refits on yachts and the super yachting industry. We are truly privileged to be located right at the important point of the Mediterranean connecting our facilities for optimizing the services to the client’s requests. It is from our strategic position where we concentrate all of our facilities and services to offer quality services at reasonable pricing.
Right from the outset, we worked with dedication, engagement and a deep commitment to all the projects we have carried out, always meeting our customers’ requests. We are very passionate about yachts and about what we do. We only engage committed and fully-qualified professionals who keep abreast of technological advances and industry trends with continual training in order to be able to undertake every kind of task. All our work generally involves large-scale projects, serving vessels of between 24 and 100 meters at our yards.
